Guillaume Girault, is part of our design-team, and is working on given Tjeko a more 'mature' look. You could say he grew-up a little. We did this on purpose, for the following reason.
It;s much easier for young children to like 11-year-olds, than it is for 11-year-olds to like young children. So if Tjeko is 11 - he's appealing to everybody.

Tjeko is a young monkey named after his grand father Pa’ Tjeko. Tjeko is the leader of Tjeko Fun Village. Tjeko has some good leadership skills. He is very comfortable to speak in public and when he does, he always motivates and inspires others. Tjeko is talented, cool and confident. He believes in honesty, hard work and respect. Tjeko is very friendly.
Tjeko’s catch phrases are “let have some Tjekooooooooooo!” and “Boy…You need some fun in your life!”
Tjeko has a strong desire to have all the children in his village (and surroundings) to be children and have fun. His siblings include a younger sister named Tjeka. Since the death of his grand father, Tjeko has been taking care of her. Tjeko and his sister didn’t know their parents and were raised by their grand father.

   OK! It's all behind us now! The 'rush' of excitement is still going trough my vanes, but the reality of normal 'life' is also back! Although - the next big thing on the planner is next week when I'll be going to London to talk about Uganda related issues! Very important issues that could take us to the next level again!

It has been an amazing event, with amazing weather! Something I personaly thank God for! Also for the fact that everything went well! No injuries, no panic, no trouble with the airplane. It was fantastic! We've been able to raise more than 8000 euro - and money is still coming in.

SKYDIVE 4 KIDS - Het is gelukt! 30 onervaren SKYDIVERS doken gister uit het vliegtuig voor kinderen in Oeganda.
Het was een geweldig success - met vele mooie momenten! Er is meer dan 7000 euro opgehaald voor Tjeko Fun Village - nieuwe contacten gelegd, en heel veel gepraat over het toekomstige park in Afrika! Uiteraard kun je NOG STEED doneren - en morgen kun je hier meer foto's zien van het SKYDIVE 4 KIDS evenement. |

 Het is het gesprek van de dag!
Iedereen om ons heen praat over wat er morgen staat te gebeuren.
We kunnen nu al spreken van een overweldigend succes!
De doelen die we hebben gesteld voor het werven van fondsen hebben we bijna gehaald- het is nog niet te laat om een van onze springers te sponsoren. We maken van de gelegenheid gebruik om jullie te laten zien hoe Tjeko zich ontwikkelt. Tjeko wordt een beetje groter! Hij is een ware pre-puber, en bij hoge uitzondering laten we hem ook parachute-springen...
De blik op zijn gezicht spreekt boekdelen... ik heb zo het vermoeden dat we morgen meer van zulke gezichten zullen zien!
Het weer werkt aan alle kanten mee! Persoonlijk maakt het dat ik God wel 10 keer per dag dank!
Dat we een SUPER fondswervingsdag voor Tjeko Fun Village mogen hebben! |

 "Jump Now - Fear Later" has been the most encouraging phrase for our 30 skydivers! They are now starting to realize... in a few days they will throw themselves out of an airplane at 12,000f/3500m!
What is motivating these people!? Why are they doing this! FOR FUN of course! No hiding in this matter! As afraid as they might be, they join the SKYDIVE because they love FUN! In an interview that was published in a dutch newspaper AD-Rotterdam, the article described perfectly why Tjeko organzed this - an afternoon of fun in Holland allow thousands of kids a DAY of fun in Uganda! And that's huge! Because children in Uganda don't often get to have a lot of fun at all. They are forced into 'survival-mode' from an early age. Kids in Uganda simply are not motivated to play...yet. Parents don't see the benefits, schools want to, but are overwhelemed by the huge number of students... They need a place where they can bring their kids, and enjoy seeing them play!
