Super TOF we zijn geselecteerd door de WordCamp voor de do_action Hackathon 2019 Rotterdam!
Door mee te doen aan de Hackathon hebben we de
mogelijkheid om een nieuwe website te krijgen die ontworpen en gebouwd is door experts uit de lokale WordPress community. En dat allemaal in één nacht.
Dit kon op geen beter moment op ons pad komen, want
helaas hebben we al enige tijd problemen met onze huidige website. De software
waar onze huidige website mee gebouwd is niet meer verkrijgbaar, de leverancier
is ermee gestopt…
Wat kunnen we verwachten
Tijdens de Hackathon wordt er binnen 8 uur een nieuwe
website ontwikkeld en gebouwd met WordPress. Onze nieuwe website wordt
ontwikkeld door een gemengd team van 8 personen uit de lokale WordPress
community.
Verder krijgen we:
- Een jaar gratis hosting, gesponsord door SiteGround
- Een tweejarig abonnement op Yoast SEO Premium, gesponsord door Yoast
- Een Pro licentie van Advanced Custom Fields, gesponsord door Advanced Custom Fields
- Een eenjarige Pro licentie van Complianz , gesponsord door Complianz

Wil je als vrijwilliger of hacker meehelpen aan het realiseren van
onze nieuwe websites tijden de Hackathon?
We zijn nog opzoek naar:
- Project Manager: The
Project Manager oversees the creation of the new website. Assigning tasks to
team members, liaising between the organisation and the team, and keeping tabs
on the team’s progress are all required tasks of the Project Manager. The Project
Manager will also be put in touch with the non-profit organisation before the
event in order to make preliminary plans and to get a better idea of the
project requirements. - Quality Assurance Tester: The
Quality Assurance Tester is responsible for making sure that the website meets
all the visual and accessibility requirements that the non-profit organisation
needs. Of equal importance is making sure that the new website works correctly
– ensuring that all interactive elements function as they should, there are no
broken links, and anything else that is required for the website to look and
act in the way that the organisation expects. - Front-end Developer: The
Front-end Developer is responsible for building the front-end of the website
according to the design specifications – this usually involves writing custom
CSS, HTML and sometimes Javascript, depending on the needs of the organisation. - Developer: The Developer
role is responsible for building the actual website. This includes implementing
the chosen theme, finding and setting up required plugins, and possibly writing
custom code to meet the requirements of the non-profit organisation.
